The Local Churches are Struggling

As most of you know, October 10, 2018 changed our lives forever & completely. Hurricane Michael hit us dead-on asap Cat 5 storm & the 3rd strongest in history of Atlantic Storms. As I drive through the devastation daily, the buildings that stand out the most, because they look the saddest, are pur local churches. I don’t know all of their stories because there are so many, but almost all have significant damage. The kind where they have to close their doors & only some have put up tents for worship. It’s now been 4 months. There are thousands of horror stories from friends and families.

Insurance nightmares. Mold and mildew infestations. (It was 90 degrees with no power for weeks!!) Blue tarps everywhere. Pine trees snapped in half. Missing 2nd stories, missing 1st stories. Just sheer despair. The community has banded together to try & help everyone but we are all experiencing our own personal nightmares so it’s hard. So, my husband & I decided to try & help in any way we can.

We are making religious tshirts & decals & donating a portion of each sale directly to devastated local churches. I would appreciate any support we can get! People have been amazing, this is the greatest country in the world. Tragedies like this prove that, 100%. Our Religious products for the fundraiser can be found on our Etsy Shop and in our Mercari Store. Thank you in advance for any support you can contribute!

Tomorrow I will drive around & take pictures of all our churches & post!
