My Cricut Arrived!

My head is absolutely spinning & I’m full of excitement. I’ve been doing arts & crafts as a hobby for years but wanted to take it to the next level. After tons of research, I ordered a Cricut Explorer Air 2, mint green, & it arrived last night! (BTW: I got the Cricut Air 2 Bundle for $275, instead of $299 + I got cash back around $14 on Ibotta!)

Even my kids were excited as we took it out & set it up. Unfortunately, it was near bedtime so the fun had to wait. I woke up this morning sooooo excited to create a project, ANY project. However, I wasn’t prepard for the learning curve on design space program & Adobe Illustrator. Therefore, I ended up spending most of my day learning how to use those programs, bummer!

But, finally, after my almost unbearable wait, I started my first little project. After about 3-4 runs, I made a semi-usable iron-on pink sparkle print for my daughter’s tshirt. It was just a little draft to see how the Cricut worked so it wasn’t super special but it was progress. So, even though my dreams of jumping in & creating a ton of incredibly marketable items were crushed, I did learn a lot. To cap the day off, I made my mom-in-law a Jesus Loves Me, a special request. Can’t wait to put all my ideas to work tomorrow & maybe populate my Etsy store??! Wish me luck, Goodnight!
